Founded in 1754 Hillsboro was one of the early state capitals of N.C. Rich in history, Gen Johnson surrendered the largest Confederate armies to Gen Sherman ending the Civil War. Start your visit at the towns visitor center for map and directions. This is a small town, but it is big in history.
